More About Mangan Nagar Panchayat (NPU):

Mangan Nagar Panchayat, located in Mangan, Sikkim, serves as the town's governing body. As per the 2011 Census, it administered a population of 4,644 across five wards: Upper Mangan Bazaar, Pentok, Power Colony, Rinzing Namgyal Marg, and Lower Mangan Bazaar. The Panchayat oversees local development and public services.

Key Functions and Initiatives:

​Mangan Nagar Panchayat focuses on waste management, environmental sustainability, and community engagement. Initiatives include launching Swachh Survekshan campaigns, establishing a Swachhata Garden, promoting waste segregation, and empowering women-led Self-Help Groups for solid waste management. These efforts have earned Mangan recognition as Sikkim's cleanest city.
